Writing Away the Restlessness

I dare say I'm catching some steam in my story rewrite! I had a great writing session when I got home from work. Granted, I'm just now gaining momentum, but it doesn't feel anymore like I'm writing something a ten year old could.

I've also started a new poem. Nothing big. A friend of mine from VA emailed me today and told me he was watching snow falling. It made me thing of how beautiful smow is when it falls and how it seems to quiet everything. I'd had that in the back of my mind and got a few lines when my friend metnioned it, so I have a very very rough draft of something.

All in all, nothing momentous, and I'm not writing any future Pulitzer Prize winners, but it's good to just be writing. It's the one thing that settles my restless nature so I can actually relax. After writing today, I took a long shower and am about to sit down in my pajamas with a good book. And I'll get to sleep tonight with a sense of accomplishment.

I hope everyone else is feeling content and relaxed. Good night to all.

J
