A Museum and a Spanish Film, Anyone?

Go see Volver! Almodovar has done it again. He's made an afecting movie that brings together things that at first glance may make no sense, but pulls his audience into his characters' lives. Penelope Cruz threw herself into this one, and the rest of the cast was great. Their faces were so emotive. And the camera work was beautiful. The movie left nothing to be desired.

It's a cold, gray day in Austin. I'm home for the afternoon, cozied up with a beer and working myself up to get to a story rewrite.

You know whose days when you're desperate jsut for some company? Not even really loneliness, just restlessness... I can't stand days like this. I feel like I want to have a good two hour discussion with someone. And, of course, those are the days when everyone else is busy. I need someone to go museum-hopping with. Where can one find somebody like that?

I like the new layout~ keep the writing gears turning - use the need, the empty - fill it with words, lovely words of experience and thoughtfulness.

Volver was excellent! Ahhh, Almodovar. Do you have a favorite? What do you think of Talk to Her and Live Flesh?
