So Far, So Good...

2007 hasn't been great or terrible yet. Of course, we're only a week and a half into the year, but I can't complain. Just been working. The days have been uneventful, which can be a good thing.

I've finished the first draft of my ten-minute play. After I finished it, I thought it was utter crap. I was depressed and had to go out for a couple drinks. I hadn't had that strong a reaction to anything I'd written in a long time. After letting it sit for a couple days, though, I gave it a read-through and realized that it's not so bad. Like Charlie Brown's Christmas tree, it just needs a little love. I just might make the February 1st deadline on this one...

Other than that, just been doing some freewriting, putting down random things that come to me. I have the beginnings of two new stories that I can tackle in the future. Just trying to keep things flowing right now before heading into serious edits on the play.

And I'm going to the Mana concert in February! I'm so excited. I haven't been to a concert in a few years. And even better, I'll be seeing my friends Annie and Sam there, who I love, but see only once every few years. I don' know when the last time I saw Annie was. The last time I saw Sam, I had just moved to California. Lord knows that feels like ages ago. It'll be good times hanging with them, even if only for a weekend. Always good to have things to look forward to...

I hope everyone's year is off to a good start. Let's see where it goes...
